Anyone up for a long ride down the east coast this weekend ? I'm selling my W650 soon and I want one last decent drive on it.

I'm thinking Sunday or Monday , whichever suits.

Ok, I will leave well enough alone!

I started up my Enfield after about 18 months. Only wouldn't start twice and the carb float got stuck open at the phoenix park resulting in petrol streaming out the overflow pipe over the nice hot exhaust.

Are you sure you want to get rid of your beautiful "modern classic"???

As for a spin, I am probably going up to Drogheda tomorrow, and may be out on Sun/Mon, depending on how the weekend pans out. Will keep an eye here to see if any other people sign up.

Even better than a haynes manual is the Service Manual. I got one for mine, and it really makes life easy. Way more detail than a haynes, mine is 600 pages! Not always to easy to get though...

Isn't that why Haynes started to do the manuals in the first place? That the Service manuals were too complicated and detailed and the "common" folk just wanted to get the info on how to fix their vehicles?

Have to say, the Haynes goes into sufficient info for me anyway.

What I like about the Service manual is that it shows where every nut an bolt goes. On my bike nearly every bolt holding on the fairing is different, also there are 3 different types of trim clip, and its nice to know you got it right.
Other thing is there isnt a haynes manual for every bike (including mine!)
I reckon Haynes started makin manuals cos service manuals wernt available to the general public.

Anyone care to brave the icy winds and driving rain this weekend for a spin ?. It'd be nice to see some of the new bikes that people have picked up recently.

I'm thinking tomorrow if anyone's interested.
