Very interested in hearing opinions, thinking of trading my FT-3 for a newer younger better looking model!

Well my regular playing partner just traded his 2 year old Callaway driver (not sure which one) in for an FT-i. He uses a hurling grip and has a pretty unorthodox but very consistent swing. He had a gruesome slice that was robbing him of about 50 yards per drive and he was aiming waaaay left of the fairways to compensate, hoping to land on them, but still running off the right side very often due to the sidespin on the ball.

He got a draw bias FT-i about 3 weeks ago and is hitting it straight now, getting his 50 lateral yards back straight away and I would not be suprised to see him knocking on the door of 280-300 yards by the end of the summer.

Going on his experience it would seem a good buy but your game/needs may be totally different. As everyone will tell you, try a few on the range before you buy.

P.S. The "boing" sound it makes takes a bit of getting used to.

I tried them both out and while they were nice I wasn't seeing any real reason to take the plunge and ditch the FT-3.

If I had to pick one, I would have taken the FT-5.
