    Absolutely none ,

Intel Viiv is a platform , not a processor , Viiv is meant to be a description of a PC and Chipset that works for home entertainment or a HTPC , the processor involved can be any core 2 duo or whatever processor Intel have approved for the platform.

So , like Centrino ,Viiv is a description of the platform not the processor. In your case , both PC,s have the same processor, a core2duo E6600

Here are the requirements for a PC that is entitled to have the Viiv brand ,

So its like a brand of quality then. I suppose i'll go for that one so. Thanks for the quick and informative response.

Also actually one more question.. About monitors. Does anyone know is it worth it to pay the extra €121 for Dell™ 20" UltraSharp™ Wide Aspect Digital/Analogue Flat Panel (2007FPW) over the standard Dell™ 20" Black Wide Flat Panel (E207WFP) monitor??

From what I can see the E207WFP has all the important features of the 2007FPW but with a faster response time. I dunno how they compare visually though.

There is a major difference in those panels ,

The E207WFP is a TN type panel , ok for everyday stuff , not so good for colour accuracy and any kind of Photography or publishing work . Fast response time so probably good for games.

The 2007FPW on the other hand , is an S-IPS panel , generally considered the absolute best quality for photo work and any kind of publishing due to its larger bit depth , slower response time though , but really , for games anything better than 16ms is probably good enough.

In terms of photo work , the S-IPS panel is way better and definitely worth the extra money. If that type of thing is not your concern , then go for the TN panel and save the money.

That's quite a nice system, can't fault it really.

Do you have an option to take the 2 x 160GB drives not in RAID 0 though ? RAID 0 doubles your chances of losing all your data. IF one of the two drives dies, you lose everything!
