yea its good, the aggrolites did a great job and his whining is far more tolerable than on his other newish albums even if 90% of them were boring lovely dovey ****e, and that girl on that song you mentioned...man she has an annoying voice...i love tim armstrongs voice like but just the bull**** he sings about lately wrecks my head its kinda like 'you whining **** no wonder she left you' shame really, he used to be a great story teller

yeah its a great album but the lyrics are ****e. he's running out of things to write about. i reckon the next rancid album is gonna be ****e

I haven't heard it yet but the last few Rancid albums haven't been much to speak about.

I'd love to see Jesse Michaels (ex-Op Ivy & Common Rider) release a new album, he's an amazing writer.

anyone like the ex op iv band dancehallcrashers? very american skapunk for the masses

im not a dancehall crashers fan myself though i can see why people would like them i dunno about the next rancid album though, probably will be crap, indestructable was pretty dismal, tropical london, arrested in shanghai and born frustrated are good but very mediocre i dunno they've started renaging on their morals now what with the major label and the 'if one of us leaves the band thats it' thing, i think at this stage the new album is an excuse to tour as a fan service tbh. oh and to the person who said the last 'few' rancid albums were bad...life wont wait and rancid v are two fantastic albums. i have little interest in what the three major punk labels do now, its for the most part dull.

what do you recommend they do then? They said they cant get the records to the shops without the help of major labels because of internet downloading. And tim released his new album for free on the internet

Tim Armstrong lost his soul with that PiNK album, I can't listen to him anymore.

Didn't Rancid have something to do with a shampoo ad not so long ago? I haven't bought anything since Rancid (2000). A great album, but it's been fairly bland since then. For the record I much prefer Lars singing to Tim, but I still haven't gotten me hands on much b*stards stuff. It'll be interesting to see him play with Crass in.... November I think it is. Can't see them doing Crass any justice but one can only hope.

Yea that was the definition of whoring if you ask me, and for the guy who asked for recommendations i dunno about standard punk but try candiria, unsane, leftover crack, capdown and mouthwash...most new 'standard' punk bands are **** for example orange, time again, all of the new bands that epitaph are pushing, if your fairly liberal about genre bending try fishbone and king prawn (just to point out ive no idea how known or unknown any of these bands are so dont reply back with 'well duh everyone listens to unsane') and if you wanna go even weirder with some psychobilly try some lee rocker, reverend horton heat and spellbound (obviously :D)

fishbone be ska to the core i think...king prawn...they're just so odd, they sung dominant view didnt they? spellbound, good call, no hotrrorpops tho :p

fishbone are far from ska my friend i suggest listening to the metal songs Servitude from Give a monkey a brain and hell think hes the center of the universe, the funk Bonin' in the Boneyard and ska Ma and Pa from Truth and Soul. Heres their wiki description "Fishbone is an alternative rock band that plays a fusion of funk, ska, punk rock, reggae, heavy metal and more" id say thats fairly accurate also considering most of the vocals sound like soul, both them and king prawn fall into a genre called wild-style aka '**** it all its gonna work out in the end' hence why king prawn called one of their album surrender to the blender. also the horrorpops are a TERRIBLE example of a psychobilly band, i enjoy the music but compared to the other bands i named they're TERRIBLE im not saying dont listen to them, they're a good band...just not psychobilly in my mind...popabilly maybe
