ntl analog - no sound sky 1 + bbc 1

    all other channels are fine,
    channels are fine on the tv,
    tv card is a haupage 150, just updated the drivers, no change.

    any ideas or anyone come across this?

    I often get that on BBC1, but it tends to resolve itself after about 20-30 seconds.. I always figured it was something to do with BBC1 broadcasting in a slightly different form of Nicam, but it's just guessing.

    BTW: I had the problem in MCE2005 and the same issue crops up since I upgraded to Vista. Mine is a Hauppauge pvr500MCE.

    much searching suggests its an issue with the hauppuage not being able to do mono or nicam.
    sometimes bbc changes from nicam to stereo after a minute and its fine,
    sky stays on mono so no sound :(

    ffs, seems to be an isue with ntl cable actaully...
    roll on sky :(
