    I like Bression...I really do.

But you can believe 'one spontanious decisive moment' as much as you want to tbh...

I must admit that being among the pople with Leica (like) camera is something special. They are the basics of human - street - documentary photography. I love it.
By the way, I need some exposure meter (as cheap as good). For outdoor photography with FED2 (Russian copy of Leica) - it doesn't have meter.

Hey ThOnda, do you want a hand held meter or a hot shoe one? I have a hot shoe one on my M4 its a Leica Mr meter, dont buy a MC one they have a selenium cell rather than battery power and at the age most are the selenium cells break down and render them useless.

I could be wrong but I think those "Leica" Lens are actually only Leica design and made by panasonic, not a patch on the real thing I would guess

Think there's a fair bit more to it than the lens, too... don't go offering the leica M8 users a panasonic p&s, hahahaha :D

Saw one of them at the festival this weekend. Very, very discreet, unless you know what you're looking at. They didn't even call it a name with 'D' in the title ;)

Sorry Simon, back on topic... I also found a nice little 'decisive moment type slideshow today: http://www.elliotterwitt.com/lang/index.html

Made me chuckle a few times.

Yeh there are plenty of people out there with M8's, I was involved in the st paddy's day parade and being very bored walking the route ye tend to look at the photo gear as you walk and I saw several, maybe half a dozen or so, and yes the Queen does use Leica they make her special ones they are also the only camera you are allowed use at the opera cause they shutter is soooooooooo quite, my M4 has a cloth shutter curtain and it is so silent, as a camera they are beautiful to use you cant help being amazed there are no electronics its all mechanical!! As for people who say there is certain quality to the results, I dont know about that, yes compared to digital but no real difference between the results from my Eos3+50 1.4

Selenium was metering system 50 years ago. The lenses are still good, meters not.
I was thinking about handheld light meter. After seeing "War Photographer" movie, my attitude to photography had changed. I don't need flash metering, just set ISO, Aperture and see the Time. As small as possible. And also it could be cheaper. I doubt that Leica meter is going to be cheap :-( Unfortunately I am spending more on film development and scanning than I should... However I know I can use the meter with all cameras I have (even in future).

I think your spot on there Thonda, buy a good hand held and use it for wotever camera you want, I was using a lovley old hand held meter with my Leica but it died on me, I decided that I would get an original Leica hot shoe one for handyness.
