A friend of mine got a job in Vodafone about 6 months ago. She loved it, and since then three of her friends have got jobs there. They're all happy there, there seems to be a good social life etc. I wouldn't fancy it myself, sales isn't my thing but i'd say go for it! :)

It depends where you work, will it be in the call centre or another part of the business?

    Other parts of the business.

the area would help, as some areas work differently than others. But in General Vodafone are going through some huge changes.

Billing and CRM dev are being outsourced to IBM this summer.
Finance, Marketing and HR will be located in Budapest by 2008/9 in a shared services centre for all of Vodafone Global. So like 02 expect more redundancies in Ireland.

It seems greed has taken over and operators are no longer satisfied with the hundreds of millions they are making. Operators will be nothing more than a brand in coming years...much like "3".
