New computer-can't log on

My dad just got a new laptop for work and he gave it to me to "get it up and running". I turned it on and Windows ran through the setup. It picked a name for the computer (some really long yoke full og letters and numbers, felt nervous about changing it so I didn't bother) and then asked to to choose a password for the Administrator account. Then it finished up and the very familiar screen of "press ctrl+alt+delete to begin" greeted me.
But when I do this it asks for a user name and password. There is no account on this and when I put in Administrator and the password I selected at set-up it tells me that it's incorrect and that I'm to check the domain or user name and retype the password. He needs this by tomorrow so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Check is the Caps Lock button on for start, maybe it was on when you typed in the password during the setup stage? Are you sure the password is right?

The password is numerical, 14 digits long.
I did notice that the num lock was off after I finished typing but I used the numbers above the qwertyuiop line so they should still be numbers right?
I've tried it a lot but once more can't hurt.

Correct, as long as the Shift, Fn or Num Lock keys were not pressed while you were entering the password as this will(\may in the case of Fn) change the behaviour of those keys.
