Still there as far as I know - but it doesn't have a sign. It's just at the end of Curved Street (opposite end to the IFI).

was still open two weeks ago and it hasn't moved, the sign has faded a lot though so it looks like a light brown door if Kieron pops out

the picture here is WAY out of date

It's not open the weekends, so if you were looking for it on a Saturday and weren't too sure where abouts it was then its very hard to find....but it's definitely still there! Was only in it about a week ago.

Have read good reviews of this place from earlier threads on this board. Went looking for it at 9:30 this morning.

Found the entrance. It was locked up with 2 faded posters in the windows of the doors. I gave the number listed on the faded poster a ring to see if I could find out if they'd be opening and I got a message from eircom saying the number was not in service.

No indication that they'd be open. The faded posters said they open from 8:30.

Maybe these guys have shut up shop?

I notice there is a head shop next door to them. Maybe they were getting anti-social behaviour drifting into their shop?

I was there as recently as a few weeks ago. The opening hours tend to be a bit changeable though. And when it's closed, it really looks closed... closed down.

I'd recommend Kieran over anyone else in Dublin I think though, especially for older bikes.

Opening hours 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Closed temporarily at the start of the year to tidy up (!!), but otherwise no change.

I think this e-mail address is still active: squarewheel [underscore] dublin [at] yahoo [dot] com

You'd be better ringing, or better still call in in person. The landline (presumably the number on the poster) is out of commission. I have the mobile number- PM me if you need it. (I'd prefer not to post it here, even though Kieran gives it out freely.)

    +1

Edit: I see from my previous posts on Square Wheel that the opening hours might be 10:30 to 6:30. Also, contrary to one of those posts, there may not be as much graffiti as I originally recalled. :)

I've never seen it open before 10. If you want to have a proper chat, it's generally better to avoid lunch time and after 5pm. He has a lot of people calling around then, so you won't have time for a proper chat.

Any other time is grand. He's great for advise, and has managed to track down some hard to find bike parts for me.
