    7 (and a half).

The first third of the season had some of the best BSG we've seen yet, imo.

The second third didn't quite reach the same highs, but was still very good for the most part. Loved everything to do with Baltar right up until...

The final third, where it lost the plot compleatly. Some of the worst BSG we've seen yet.

It's hard luck that the bad stuff came at the end. People tend to forget how well this season started out.

(I wish people would remember to make this polls public. Not exactly sensitive information; would be nice to know how other members voted)

True enough. Can't seem to edit it to make it public now (I presume that's on purpose). I voted 7 as well.

    Descending order? Pfft.

I gave it a 6. Very disappointed by the level of ship to ship action. Very bored with much of the character interaction (thrace Dee and Lee) but the Cylon P.O.V. was good and the finish was a little baffling though promising.

Well Season 0 is coming out soon and then we have Pegasus to look forward to (unless my ears deceive me and they are the same thing?) -> I'm visitng the states and the TV told me there was a 6-episode Season 0 showing us how all the important characters came to be on the Galactica; so I assume Pegasus is a seperate entity.

    Haven't heard anything about a 'Season 0'.

    I can has linkage?

And that poll order is ascending, not descending ;)

'Season Zero' looks to be a comic book series :

****, my hopes got way up there i was thinking omg i cant belive it i find out only 1 more season and i also find great news as well i wouldnt know what to, my brain would have exploded.

Anyway i assume everyone here has seen the deleted scenes from the start of season 2? the ones about Adama and Saul? I thought they wherre amazing and when i saw season 0 i thought omg adama and saul before Galactica, before Valkrie wow but i guess not, ill still read the comic, also cant wait to read the heroes and death note comics when both those shows end.

EDIT: I voted 10 btw but i do want to chance it to 9, unlike most of you i loved this season there was one episode that i didnt enjoy and that was "Hero" - ? that right name? the one with the guy who crosed the cylon line a long time ago valkrie times?
Did not like that episode much, the scenes with Saul and on the basestar where great but honnestly i just didnt give 2 ****s about that charactor and an episode based on meaningless charactor was not what i wanted, i still have that episode on its own a 7 or 8 tho because the cylon and saul tigh scenes.

The other reason its a 9 was because you know the episode where Kat? wow i dont even remember the name...
anyway ye i had a 5 way cocktail for that episode so its always been a bit hazy in my memory and i am waiting till i get my new monitor before i re-watch every episode.

    8.5.

Season 1 & 2 both get 10/10 for me. Season 3, while not as good, is still terrific stuff. The first 6 episodes in particular are fantastic.

    9 out of ten.
Best thing I've watched in ages.
With the Last two episodes making up for any of the Fobiles that came before.

I can really see no way season 4 will live up to what my head is expecting to see. Didn't really enjoy the last Starbuck episode. It felt a little all over the place for my liking.
Loved the Trial and Baltars Lawyer was a great addition even if the Accent was a little off. Plus Random cat is a great moment.
those final 15 minutes of the show were just WOW.

7 out of 10.Still some fantastic episodes, but far, FAR too much filler.

7 for me too. Season 3 was like Character development one season too late for me.

If they is only going to beone more season then we didnt need charachter development storylines.

The ending is a bit strange and intriguing at the same time.

    What filler is there?

the only thing that i can think of that comes EVEN close to filler would have been that love triangle but since it was such a big part for several episodes then its not filler wither so what did you consider to be the filler in season 3?

the episode were the Chief instigates strike action.
the episode to do with the boxing matches.
the episode were the doctor is killing off one particular race.
the one where adama day dreams about his wife.
the episode where the black dude escapes from the cylons.

    there may be more

7 imo, the first 2 seasons were far superior....

I think Season 3 suffered in comparison to Season 2.

It wobbled in places and there was a considerable amount of mediocrity. But saying that, there were some standout moments and ideas in there. And it still stood well above any other sci fi which is on tv at the moment.

I would have my concerns over where they are going to bring it from here. But Season 3 certainly ended with a bang.

the episode were the Chief instigates strike action. All about chief and new caprica I guess.. the wheel comes full circle.. more character work
the episode to do with the boxing matches.I really like this one but that's just me.. showing rising tensions between the main chars and how they let it all out under a subtext
the episode were the doctor is killing off one particular race.meh..
the one where adama day dreams about his wife.meh
the episode where the black dude escapes from the cylons.Like the idea of this one.. giving background as to why the cylons came back.. we provoked an encounter.. not exactly filler...

We never see / hear from him again for the whole season. Filler IMO. "oh ya, we started the war, sure move on there lads".

The reason seasons 1 and 2 worked so well (IMO) is that they were only partly episodic. Season 3 had too many episode only shows.

Huh? How was that a filler?

It was something that people unlike you had complained about, that fact that we are shown very little of civilian life in the fleet, also this episode was very important to the overall story, some good scenes and of coarse the introduction of Gaius Baltar's Book
    Washout wrote:
the episode to do with the boxing matches.

Very important because of all the events that had happened and the effects it had on everyone, Now this was in fact my least favourite episode but it cant be called a filler because it was important to getting over things, As i recall also featured the love triangle, even if you didn’t like that story arc it was not a filler.

I didnt like the star trek VOY episode with boxing or wrestling either i don’t think modern earth sports have any place in a sci-fi show.

Actually remember all the flash backs to new Caprica? they where important enough, also we got to see what did happen between Lee and Kara

The Sagittarians?, They have been in this before so its not really a filler, didn’t this episode also deal with the fact Helo was now doing such crappy duties?
Also remember this does not really count because this season was supposed to have been largely based on the Sagittarians with several stories involving them which is why this episode was created so your not really seeing it in its right context.
    Washout wrote:

    This episode was very good.

For some they believe that Adama is projecting and he actually is the 5th and Final Cylon model (i am not convinced)

This episode deals with the Run up to baltars trail and all conversation relating to what lee will do next episode and all talk regarding the trail in this episode makes it not a filler, i could actually do with a re-watch of this episode so i can tell you more but another time
    Washout wrote:

I thought this episode was only ok at first, i gave it a 7 at the time but when you actually think about it, it cant have been a filler because it gave explanation of a reason why the cylons attacked and also it was a key part of the Tigh storyline, if this episode didn’t involve tigh it would have been a filler but because it featured his "return" it aint a filler.

Please discuss my responces to your already named episodes as well.

Well....I have to say....I dunno how you can say those eps weren't filler. Sure, they give you character insight, but they (for the most part) in no way contributed to the baseline story.

Strike action. Who cares? The high point of this was the small insight into life on the run like that.
Guy escapes cylons. Who cares? (diastrous episode)
Dreams of wife. Dream on your own time. I want battles! And intrigue! And mystery! etc.

Sure, there were moments that those episodes contributed, but overall, they were filler.

Season 3 was the weakest of the 3 so far, by a stretch. I just hope season 4 lifts things to a bit of a peak.

Probably not as good as season 1 & 2. But lets hope 4 is superb :)
