    I cant conceive of anything that would cause an animal to behave in this manner.
    The only thing I can guess at is that they fired the tendons and went too far, but that is just a guess.

    Is pin firing legal?

    I don't buy it. The horse was in a really awful condition. My guess is that to some people if the horse has no longer a prospect of winning them money they forget about it and literally leave it to rot.
