    Hi,

Can any HR professional out there shed some light on this.

I may be relocating from dublin city to Manhattan New York.

What kind of salary adjustment would be standrad to ensure the same standard of living etc.
I do know that rent is far more expensive as is medical care.

Could anyone shed any light on what they would expect?

    Not in HR...

Rent wont be that more expensive as you'll more then likely be living in new jersey. You should be getting your salary matched to the equivlant of what you'd get paid in the states. For instance if its a bank adjustment's for a grad from London to Dublin go from 40k Sterling to 26k Euro. Banks usually pay the same for London / New York

Why would she be living in new jersey?

Why would she be living in new jersey?
Cost of living on Manhattan (commuting is considered standard and hence the salary would most likely reflect this as well).
