I thought I heard somewhere that you cant get insured as the named driver on more than 1 car (except in some sort of garage insurance). Is this true? I was thinking of keeping old car and getting new one, I dont want to be spending 3 grand to do so.

Yes, as many as you like, but obviously you have to be named on someone else's policy. Keeping the old car is fine, as long as someone else gets insurance on it and names you.

Sorry I didnt mean named driver on policy, I meant being sole insuree on more than one car.

Why would you want to pay two premiums in the first place?

Coz I can afford it :) Just kidding, because I want one car for commuting to work and the other for everything else.

I don't think there's a problem, but your 2nd policy will probably start off with 0 years NCB. So, make sure your existing policy is put onto the more expensive to insure, and your new is on the cheaper one.

Yes, no prob, but you have to start at zero NCB, as pointed out.........

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I've got two policies, but you can't transfer your NCB. However, some companies are more generous than others....
