Mould in new build

Is it common to get mould/stuff growing in a new build where the plaster is still drying out?

Its on the joint between the chimney and the internal wall on a steel frame house.

    Should I be worried?!!!

Its a bit low down to be condensation. Had you anything resting against the brace at that point?

hmm, its not a self build, we just had a look around the house in advance of snagging (builders left the door unlocked) so i couldnt ask the foreman.

They only had one coat of paint on, and i reckon the next time I see that it will be well painted over.

    Whats the brace? :o

It seems like a really weird place for mould to be growing.
