Going to the races and backing loads of losers OR picking out horses forgeting to back them and then seeing they all won?

The latter happened to me today and boy does that hurt!

sure sign of a mild addiction to gambling -ask urself this -can u go racing and not have a bet ?
try to tell urself that by u picking those winners u must be doing something right -but if u feel regret or are annoyed with urself that u didnt back them then that is coming from ur addiction to gambling not ur love of horseracing as a sport-if this is the case then horseracing is just a medium for ur gambling

to answer ur original question which is worse-going racing and backing lots of losers is worse -cause if u stay at home pick all winners and forget to back them then u still have the same amount of money in ur pocket at the end of the night

disagree knighted. imo it is much worse to pick winners and not back them at home. this is because:

going racing is for fun and even if you lose its a good day out and u have a cracking night still!

missing the winners is terrible cas betting at home is all about winning and making money. so u feel by missing this win uv missed ur big scoop. this happened to me last yr and i felt like id lost alot of money...

very subjective but wat do other ppl think?

wow that first paragraph is deep knighted :D

the second one is definitely more annoying but as knighted says at least your not out of pocket when you back nothing, although you kind of are if you miss out on backing winners, hhmm hang on...........

Well my quota is surely gone for the week now by the time sat comes Ill back a load of losers.

On the other point yes you may consider me being addicted, but I dont agree (haha-denial is the 1st sign and all that). The point im making is that I did study the form and form some selections and 9/10 times I would go and back them but 1/10 I forget or become unable which happened yesterday. Just frustrating thats all

as u know i can be a bit harsh -lol-but u can see what i getting at

main thing is never cry over spilt milk if u in it for the long haul -personally the only big bets i had this year was at cheltenham which was a success but as for the rest of the season i found it extremly hard to follow form or to try to get it to stand up -weird nh season to say the least but i just refrained from betting -rewind 5 years and it would have been a different story ,i would be licking wounds ....................

well I was in shatin for the QE2 race and the asian mile and I was trying to work out how the betting worked there. It was all chinese to me, literally. I saw an irish horse the card (english lang card) and then I spotted Mick Kinane in the paddock and without readin the card assumed (stupidly) that Mick kinane was on the irish horse. Kinane came in at 22/1. Half way thru the race I copped my mistake. Kinane was on a HK horse. He was only running in this and the next race (the 2 big ones). Herself then said to me was he going to win the QE2 and I said no bucking my confidence , I am going for Johnny murtagh and ofcourse he did, this time at 7/1. Jez I was sick, but people had no sympathy. As my brother asked me (trying to be smart) when I came home " whats the chinese for Kinane then"
