    I'm moving to Galway in the summer and was wondering if anyone was interested in forming a punk band? (celtic, skate,80's hardcore style etc)
    I play bass and if need be rhythm guitar.

    I like: Dropkick Murphys, Operation Ivy,The tossers, pogues, dubliners,Black Flag, Clash,Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion etc etc

    You won't find many Galway people / musicians on Boards - my advice would be to maybe stick up a poster in Powell's on Shop St on their notice board. I did that a month back when I was looking to get something started & I got loads of calls (obviously a lot of them weren't suitable, but a few projects have grown out of the ad). Most musicians in Galway end up in Powell's at some point of the week, & most of them check the board while they're at it.

    yeah I can see the logic, but having a ready-made band when I headed over was worth a shot, the thought of ending up all lonesome in Ireland is a terrible one.
