She has a good voice, but I'd like to see her do more with it. I like Samson alot.

    Absolutely fantastic.

Saw her on Jonathon Ross and fell in love with her.

    "On The Radio" is brilliant.

Loved her on Jonathan Ross too. It's down off youtube again now though :(

This is great as well though - Fidelity on Good Morning America in the U.S.
(the yellow cover they show is the special edition with extra tracks, think it's deleted now)

Just bought the album there, very good stuff.

Kinda like Fiona Apple mixed with Feist plus a dash of Joanna Newson.

I love Spektor, was kickin myself for not going to see her set at a certain music festival last year.. the video for 'Fidelity' is great, but I have to say 'Better' is my favourite song off BTH.

    EDIT: mentioned the unmentionable. woops.

Just got the album today after being told that it was really good. Not really pleased at all.

Yeah you shouldn't really trust these guys... It's a decent album, not great, one or two standout songs the rest blend to mush...

I don't have any albums by her yet but I've heard from fans that 'Soviet Kitsch' is meant to be a much better record than 'Begin To Hope'..

I'd live with it for a little bit first anyway and then see how you feel about it
*goes off to listen to Soviet Kitsch, not listened to it in ages*

Shes a trained opratic singer .... not to mention a classical pianist at the top of her game!!

I think im in love again!

You make it sound like she does a bit of gigging with the LSO on the side or something.

I like the whole American dream element to what she did, as stupid as that may sound.

Escaped Russia at age 9, without a piano at home for a long time but eventually took over the world through anti-folk and having a spectacular voice.

Got the album recently and I have to say I quite like it.

Absolutely love her. Voice has a delicate side to it thats just beautiful. It was actually through the Vodafone ad I listened to her, I was obsessed with that song (Hotel Song)!

She's much better Live though, I prefer the just raw piano + instrument sound in the songs.

Yeah, and consequently every track is piano and vocal. That's pretty lazy. It's a shame the classical nature of her schooling doesn't come through more.

Every song on 3 albums is piano and vocal? I don't think this is correct.
