Epidural steroidal injections - worth it?

A relative of mine has spinal stenosis and takes daily analgesia for it. She's had epidural steroidal injections offered to her but has refused. I'm wondering if anyone here has had these injections before? If so, how would you rate the pain relief and does the effect last long enough to justify the relatively frequent…
