Strange problem with sound after RAM upgrade.

    I'm having a bizarre problem with my computer sound after a RAM upgrade (I'm not sure if it's related). Sound on the Internet (using flash player eg. youtube) works fine but anytime I try to use iTunes, Windows Media Player, VLC or any program the sound if very crackly and annoying as if there was some sort of interference. I have a Creative Audigy 2 Sound Blaster card and a 5.1 surrond sound system from Altec Lansing.
