we all know the complaint regarding double standards

a man who shags every woman he sees is a stud
a woman who shags every man she sees shes a slag(or a nympho)

is it a question of the mans the stud because hes the one "doing her" and shes a slut cos she "takes it"

or am i missing the point entirley

Meh, I could be different but how me and my buddy's see it is if a girl has been with a lot of lads (Not like a ridiculous amount) she's more seen as a girl who's "Well up for it!". I dunno, calling a girl a slut, getting with her and then proclaiming yourself as a stud sort of defeats itself, eh? How can ya be a stud if you shagged a girl who apparantly will shag anything? Mind boggles!

i always thought this was fairly obvious. Its harder for the average guy to have sex than the average girl. Thus a girl racking up a high number is nothing special but does take some bit of skill if its a guy (assuming some level of quality control!)

I also think that the stud-slut thing is being slowly shed. It's much more of an issue when people are in school;
16-year-old men who manage to get a shag are light years ahead of their peers, and are seen as champions. Since sex is extra hard to get at 16, then those sleeping with everything around them are studs.
16-year-old girls who have had sex are exploring their womanhood, but 16-year-old girls who shag everything around them are ruining it for the rest by shagging all the men.

Bring that on ten years, and a 26-year-old guy who's shagging everything around him is no longer a champion, but a disease bag.
The 26-year-old woman who engages in one-night-stands is asserting her rights as a woman.

Ah it's just an evolutionary thing! The male is supposed to spread his seed around but the female is just supposed to bear the children. Anyway, it's ridiculous these days.
