    oh this is gonna be a contentious issue right here, roll out the iPod bashers!

    I like both tbh, the iPod is a nice size and stuff, easy-peesy to use and grand for music, but i do think that the creative is better for video and stuff...

    However the creative is a bit chunky, not a big fan of the button scheme myself... It does depend on what you're looking for, video or music or whatever... Your best bet is to head into some shop and try both out...

    Zen M, better support for most common sound and video codecs.

    Zen M for radio built in - you never know when you'll appreciate the
    ability to check the weather/traffic/news/sports results when out and
    about.

    Zen M resolution on TV out for watching video is twice the resolution
    of most Ipod video players.

    Zen M for the ability to drag and drop files without the need for itunes
    like software.

    well I dont want to come across as an i-pod basher but this really is a no brainer.......

    Zen all the way in every department. you'll have to live with the extra 4-5mm.

    Don't be a sheep and buy an i-pod because everyone else has one. Your doing the right thing by asking first and then do your own research and then buy whichever one suits your needs. If you find the i-pod suits you needs then buy one but don't do it because everyone else buys one.....

    I own a 80GB iPod and I have never looked back since. I used a Zen Vision M but i did not like it. I was expecting it to be better than the iPod because everyone says it is better but there are too many buttons and it is very fiddely. I didn't get too watch a video properly but everyone says it is better on the Zen Vision M than the iPod. I would recommend getting an iPod because of its simplicity and the video playback is brilliant IMO. Also there are more 3rd party accessories for the iPod.
