Does anyone know what the weather will be like in July?

What I have seen is that it is in rainy/hurricane season

But anyone know what are the chances of having a hurricane and how bad is the rain?

Dom Rep is on the edge of the tropical zone so weather in July will be hot
    and humid.

Average daily highs for the coastal/beach regions rise to around 31°C (87°F) during the day,
dropping down to about 22°C (72°F) at night. It is the higher humidity during this period that
can make it feel much hotter.

Make sure your hotel has decent air-con, especially for the nights!

I spent 2 weeks there in July a couple of years back and rain showers tended to
be of the short but intense variety - typical tropical downpour - and rarely
lasted more than a couple of hours. Watch out for electricity blackouts in the
resorts during thunderstorms and downpours, a torch is handy at night for finding
your way back from the bar !

The hurricane season lasts from June through November, with August-September being the peak months.
