Large over the pot bet

    playin a tournie live . . . raise to 450, 150 bb

im in bb with 87 off. i call making it three to the flop.

original raiser UTG, prob raising with premium hand of some sort.

    Flop 10 9 7

i check. pot 1250 or so. OR bets 2500, back to me. two diamonds on the board aswell.

Its early in the tournie, i dont really need to get involved. The Raiser is def capable of a move.

    whats my next move?

It looks like a very obvious fold, but how often does he need to be on a flush draw, or two overs (AK, AQ bluffing trying to take it down) to make this a good call/push.

our stacks are 6k each, so if im getting involved im pushing all in.

Even if he has the over pair, i still have 13 outs.

    Comments please??

id guess he is more likely protecting an overpair.

your equity against an overpair is about 40%. add in flush draws and overcards with no draw and its probably higher again.

    id still fold.

i thought i had slight FE by pushing, then with the possibilities of it not being an overpair is this enough to call this in the long run and be profitable??
    opinions?

in hindsight its probably a fold in a tournie, call in cash game??

the result isnt significant to the question - but i called and missed

If he's overbetting the pot in a NL cash game, then the decision and best course of action remain the same. If you really think you have sufficient folding equity then pushing is ok as your equity is roughly 40% against the hand range discussed if you get called. I cant really see anyone folding for 3500 after theyve donked a 2500 overbet in on the flop though.
