I think my wii is trying to communicate with me

It's powered off, but a couple of minutes ago the blue light opn the cd drive started flashing .

    it's still doing it..

i'm going to try and count them to see if it's listing primes or something

does anyone know why it's doing this?

There is a way. Go to your email from the home menu, and add your personal computer email address to your address book. Wait for the email to arrive, and reply to the email from your computer. In a few minutes, you will have an email waiting for you on your Wii. Don't read it! As long as it remains new, you have a pretty blue light!

For energy saving reasons you should unplug the bastard at night, quite a drain from that light apparently...

Apart from when you turn on your wii, cuz read it or not, the blue light will go off n stay off then.
