    be careful

    http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32343

    large photo of fake.

How do you know that is fake?

Usually the fake ones have an extra row of touch icons on the bottom of the screen there. The Fake phones use a hacked Motorola romset (complete with Nokia pictures on it) and even has a touch screen.

On that however, it does not have a 5Mpix camera, GPS, HSDPA or WiFi. It usually sells for about 10% of the cost of the real N95
(and not even a proper S60 platform with no software support), but these a'holes on ebay sell them as the real thing and most of the people wouldnt know until they compare it to the real thing.

plenty more tales on Google , most in may 2007 as it happens.

The fake N95 is the same as the fake Apple one. Still the seller says specifically that it isn't a nokia and they probably are ok phones in any case.

why anyone would want to buy a fake N95 I just don't know - it's not like buying a fake tag heur for example. The fake apple looks cool though.

People buy it because the advert is misleading. Most people think its real well the one that i bought the advert said real noki etc and didnt mention anything about NOLKA phone :)
