Can't beat Virtua Fighter 5 on the PS3 at the moment. It wipes the floor with Tekken.

Get oblivion if its out, great game on the 360 suppose to have slightly better graphics on the ps3 due to something they figured out when porting it. Other than that theres nothing too great out at the moment apart from vf5.

Set up an account on your playstation with a fake US address and download Calling All Cars, absolutely fantastic multiplayer game, much better than you'd expect from a downloadable.

As far as standard games go, Motorstorm is still the stand out game for me although I'm guessing you've already played it. Oblivion and Rainbow Six: Vegas are two of the best games on 360 so the PS3 versions I'm sure would be great.

I'd recommend Resistance, but you may have had your fill of FPS games for now. Resistance starts a little slow, but gets better and better as you progress through it, and the online is excellent.

If you fancy a racer, Motorstorm is a lot of fun, but grab whatever patches are released for it going forward to fill out your experience a little (e.g. it didn't even have time trial on the initial release, but there'll be a patch for that shortly).

Virtua Tennis 3 is also pretty fun..

If you can wait, next month looks pretty good..Singstar, The Darkness and Ninja Gaiden Sigma are all due in June, according to Game.

(And yeah, I'd second steviec's suggestion about setting up a second US account, or even a third Japanese account..there's lots of free demos and other stuff on those stores that aren't on the euro store yet. You might be able to buy stuff from the US store aswell, if you have a mastercard and put in a dummy US address).

I would recommend Moterstorm, savage game. I would also say Resistance but you've already got a FPS

Got F.E.A.R. last week, another FPS, not bad, freaky in some parts. It's up there with Resistance.

I'm pretty sure I spotted this on the European web-store yesterday..!

    Ya gotta Play RFOM though...!

I personally hated American sports games till I picked up NBA 2K7. Man, oh man, what a thoroughly finished game.

I cant play the single player mode, but kicking the $h!t out of my brother is so much fun..

I'd recommend against Resistance. It's as generic as a Tesco value white sliced loaf of bread.

"I'm pretty sure I spotted this on the European web-store yesterday..!"

What you saw was the video trailer for Calling All Cars. We got another pretty abysmal store update this week....

I would add to the recommendation for Motorstorm.

There are demos around for Virtua Tennis, Ninja Gaiden (US store), Armoured Core 4 (US store) and others, so you can try before you buy.

Resistances alrite, generic as Retrogamer said but not bad. If it was'nt a launch title i would'nt have gone with it.

NBA 2K7's pretty good, can't go wrong for 27.99 off play.com.

I can't say enough on motorstorm.

40 player matches lag free, how it that generic? Resistance online is one of the best out there

A single player game that plays like every other FPS game without anythng interesting and a standard deathmatch multiplayer game that isn't a patch on the 64 player battles of Day of Defeat, Battlefield 2 et al. on the PC.

We will just have to agree to disagree. I personally think its one of the best games ive ever played.

If you're a console man, its very good, alot of peops don't bother with a PC. Console FPS's will rarely if ever challenge a PC FPS, be it single player and definately multiplayer.

While Resistance is not doing anything radical, I am enjoying it. I am playing normal difficulty and it appears to be more difficult than the typical normal level on my other 360 FPS.

Close range textures can be a bit ugly but from distance it is as good as COD2 on the 360 with more objects in view.

I have just hooked up with Kevin2006, but anyone else interested in online, add me to your friends :)

I agree on MotorStorm, very impressive.

NBA Street Homecourt is actually a brilliant game...
Not for everyone but if your looking for a lighthearted multiplayer game it is very good..or if you like basketball..or both!!
Have only played Motorstorm which looks pretty good..
Oblivion looks good aswell and Virtua Tennis was a beast of a game on the dreamcast so I'd go for that..

Again, thats your opinion. I think games like Gears of War and Resistance on a big HDTV not only challenge the pc, they surpass it.

I only have two PS3 games. VF5 and Resistance.

I bought Virtua Fighter and a big ass arcade stick. But its way too hardcore for me. So I'm selling it (or trading it).

Resistance, I'm enjoying a lot. Its fun, the weapons feel good, the environments are good. It does borrow from other games, Call of Duty, Half-Life 2, Halo. But if you are going to borrow from games those are great games to do it from.

Plus the hedgehog grenade is one of the best weapons of all time.

I'm hoping Half Life 2 will be the killer game!! as long as it ports teh TFC mod!!! (Team Fortress Classic)...would be good to revive the old UKTFC and ETFC leagues :( ... although playing TFC with a console controller might not be the best thing in the world. Watching the tourney on Xleague.tv last night for Quake 4 brought it all back, seeing them bunny-hop around the map.
    Valve! Steam! MERD!!

Resistance is the best game available in ireland at the moment in my option, the story mode is ok if your bored but you cant beat the online content, great gameplay and never seems to run slow and i dont exactly have the best broadband connection in the world, other then that..... i went into gamestop with a ful 70 quid aiming to buy a game...I left with nothing. madden 08 and GTA IV here I come!!!!
