Whats your favourite patches? Any recommendations on customtone? I wish they had a rating feature on that site because some of the patches are ****e :p

i just go for my favourite artists, i use (think its called) 'gilmour lead', santana, slash etc., there's a few hendrix tones also that sound great, the presets of 'bohemian rhaposady' and 'purple haze' are hardcore also, just tial and error really, when ya get one down that ya like ya can always teak it, ya know?

do ya prefer it to the gt8?

I got a few Dream Theater patches that I use, but the rest I've just made myself.

I have a lot of nice user packs from the old Line6 forums that Ill throw up later, some great sounds there including an amazing Bogner patch which ive slightly edited as my main POD tone.

I tend to go by artist name and also the # of downloads. Also I can't confirm this right now (in work) but are the "Line 6 Crafted Tones" higher quality than the "Public Tone Exchange" ones?
Whatever patches I download I will pretty much always tweak them. I've often turned them into an unrecognisable mess that leaves me with no option but to re-load the patch in question but I suppose that's all part of the fun :)

A lot of tones on the Line6 site are really ****. Best of making your own, although I've got 1 or 2 tones that are decent off CustomTone like a Joe Satriani tone entiltled "JSX" which is good for most metal especially Van Halen, Vai and of course Satch himself. Everything else in my opinion isn't worth anything.
