Dr. James Reilly just elected, fantastic stuff... I might not be a huge FG supporter but the guy is my uncle and a genuinely good man, so that's made my day.

    Not surprising though was it?

Infact the whole situation with the delays up here is ridiculous.

PPOWER had Reilly at 1-7 before election and Kennedy at 11-10

And the most outstanding result in Dublin North ?
FF gaining two seats against all the odds.

tremendous win- well done to all concerned.

The success in Dublin North was really FF's. FG should be ashamed of themselves if they couldn't regain Nora Owen's seat when the tide was in for them.

Was Dr. James Reilly involved in local politics at all, before the election? Sounds a bit like a parachute candidate. But fair dues, he got the seat ahead of tipped Clare Daly.
