I had heard from loads of sources that the CYMA glock was great. After seeing one in person, I have to say, AVOID. It feels decent enough. But that's where it ends. The firing is terrible. I was using Scopes one and 60% of the time the thing wouldnt even fire.

At €84.20 shipped you'd be mad. You could more or less get an excellent gas pistol with that kind of money.

I have A GBB Umarex(really KJW) M9, but Gas sucks in cold weather....and this is Ireland, we get a lot of cold weather!

So i want an AEP for winter(Practically most of the year). WAs kinda leaning towards the USP because it looks way better than the glock. But I read good reviews of the glock, Sure scopes wasn't just a dud?

    ...why not use winter gas?

The cold does effect GBBs alright. But, it has to be VERY cold. We only get mild cold over here. So there isn't really a problem. The only time mine didnt work as I said before was at night during December. And that was after firing four mags already. So I wouldn't let that be a reason to stop you buying one.

I'd only use one of those AEPs for target shooting around my house. And even at that, I think I'd just buy a springer. The only skirmish use they'd have would be indoor like HRTA. And to be honest, I'd MUCH rather a GBB for that kind of thing!

Scopes one was a dud alright. Although, the ones I've seen working fully aren't too impressive. The range is no good. The noise of the motor is pathetic.

The Tokyo Marui one is alright..I wouldn't say no to it. BUT, it still doesn't come close to a GBB.

Yeah, are you sure that wasn't a dud? I had one, worked great and never misfired.
I don't know what the DE is like, but the Glock is a good gun for the money. But you can get the GBB from rsov for even cheaper! I have/had the two and I'd pick the GBB everytime. Much heavier, looks and feels better. Only thing is I haven't fired it yet (no gas)!

I really can't advise you which one to get, but I can tell you the Glock is a very nice gun. Mine worked perfect until the gears came out of contact (which can be easily fixed - but not be me) and I broke it trying to fix it!

think I maight just get the Tightbore for my Aug...but will that push it over the limit?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

tightbore will only add about 5-10fps at most

if your going for the tightbore,id go for the prometheus one's, they are supposed to be excellent, got a CA 6.04 tightbore, measure it with digital calipers and it's 6.08, but whether this was a once-off mistake or not, im not sure, ill find out more when i get onto the supplier
(not going to say who i got it from for now, until i've contacted them and given them a chance to rectify the mistake)

    anyway, on-topic
I have that cyma glock too, and it's OK... i've only really used it once in hrta, and that was when i ran out of ammo for the p90 and my m9, effective range is really only about 30-40ft, you'd have a hard enough time shooting someone coming in the door in hrta from the back for instance.

In comparison to my m9 GBB, the m9 wins hands down, much more power and it's just soooooo much nicer to fire, the noise of the slide is alot better than the whine of a motor, personally im going to take apart my cyma and see what i can do with it in terms of upgrade, hopefully might get a few more fps and a bit higher rate of fire out of it.

Yeah, RSOV have a Prometheus that I was looking at before. Its €48 shipped, not bad.
So the Aug shoots 330(Approx) out of the box, but beds in to what 315fps??? So then adding 5/10fps would leave it still legal and usable in HRTA:D

BTW, the JG G36c shoots 360 fps or so a review i read said. Is that true? If so whats the easiest way to lower the FPS?

one of my extended mags is fuxed ,she works fine for the most part but tbh the novelty has kinda wore off and now that i have 3 mags for each beretta i dont realy use my little machine pistol at all[and i cant here it over the sound of 1 of my gbb when im wielding one of each  .
its decent but as KD says indoor at H.R.T.A is the only place its useable realy

never said they were useless, just in comparison to a GBB, the GBB wins.

The JG G36C is advertised at 350fps with .2gs. The one I got fired through both sides of a coke can at point blank with a .23g bb. I don't have a chrono, but seeing as mine does not work I can't say what it's like when it settles in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

i think someone had a JG g36 at hrta a few weeks back, ill ask paul what it chrono'd at later

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 985 ✭✭✭Mark_Sc

There were 3 yesterday, including mine. I havent chrono'd mine yet and i dont think its much more powerfull than 330fps. Its a great gun and i think anyone who has one will tell you its great.
