Am trying to get ahold of estate agent who usually has Saturday hours but no answer - is it a bank holiday or something?

Thanks - I'm up north, so it's a bank holiday here but I cant imagine why they would have the Saturday off down south. Am trying to book a viewing but no answer at their office, they are supposed to be open between 10-1. Is this a usual thing do you think?

Yes, the weekend would be the busiest time of the week. If you want to ring to arrange an appointment/viewing- office hours on weekdays are the best. Even if the particular agent is not available, there should be clerical staff present who will be able to take your details or possibly give you a mobile number for the agent in question.

That said- perhaps the agent was out partying the election results? :)

very difficult to get in contact with estate agents on Saturdays...normally their offices are closed as most of them do their viewings then. Unless you have their mobile number, you'll probably have to wait until Monday

Thanks all. The oppty to get down south to see the house came up unexpectedly, and the agent's office is supposed to keep Saturday hours. We'll try again this week.
