    Hey guys,

I have to moles on my back and I was just wondering should I go get them checked? I'm a hypocondriac when it comes to cancer due to a mate losing a battle to it a few years back.

Does one feel a pain when it turns into melanoma?

Sorry I'm very uneducated in this area.

    Thanks.

Check them checked out if they're giving you cause for concern. Better safe than sorry.

I think, if you notice a change.. as in, change in shape/size/colour/bleeding where there was no bleeding, then you should get them checked out.

Yeah your man Purple above me is correct, I have one on my back...and a tiny one on my chest with no colouration around it. I get them checked when I go to the GP now and again.

Pretty much. Take a little extra care when it comes to hot sun, etc. also.

I was at the dermotologist last year, every thing checked out ok and apparently its healthy if they have hairs growing out of them.

Next time you are at your GP, have a list ready for him of spots / moles / lumps that he can check out.
