Pop up on the main page, and a very annoying and repetitive prompt with something about a show?

Links at the bottom of the page are dead (I'm using Firefox). I notice that there is a forum link on the bottom, but not on the top?

On the plus side, some of the graphics (the cars etc.) are very nice indeed, and the site seems to load quickly.

Great potential there I reckon :)

I was offering the OP some constructive advice on his website (as was Mike).

Any more personal comments you, or your friends would like to make, I'd suggest that you take them to PM. It's not good for the forum.

Why you people fixate on my posts while others are saying similiar things, I don't know.

Draw a line in the sand ffs, oh and read the bloody charter while you do.

If someone can't take constructive criticism about their site then don't post links for it!
As someone who works within the industry, its important to get opinions from others. The OP would be doing well to get a site review from us geeks over in the webmaster forum - maybe then they can get professional views on pop-ups, validating HTML, etc.

Well done dude, its a good start man . graphics are excellent, photos are brilliant, the pop up on the main page is deliberately there to get peoples attention to up coming shows and any events the club will be running or attending, it certainly grabs my attention, as with everything it takes a while to iron out any gliches,no doubt the forum and links will be uprated at a later stage. site loads very quickly indeed.well done buddy again:D

[hijack]There's some lads in Cork trying to start an American car club too. TBH - my car isn't in show condidtion and it'd cost me a fortune in petrol to attend shows up the country.[/hijack]

showroom condition or not its still a yankee, petrol hits us all in the pockets, but its worth every euro to go cruising in your motor. there are a few shows down that way, i know some of the lads from cork come up to some of the shows, there is a very good show in inistigoe later in the year, its worth going if the weather permits. keep an eye on our website for upcoming shows,

Looks fantastic. Good luck swelling the membership - there's plenty of yank tanks floating around the country. I spotted a black '61 Continental in town the other day - difficult to beat for sheer presence.

I'll look in from time to time - just in case someone gets a Toronado.

Good site, like the show reviews and the calendar. The pop up on the main page is a big no-no, perhaps the visitor just wanted to have a look at the website and does not want to be reminded about a show, that would be much better as news/announcements on the main page.

Well done, its hard work to get a site up and running.

Hey guys good job on the site, Ive been away from boards for a while, looks like I missed loads! Its still great to see the amount of interest any american auto thread generates. Great job on the site, and a great easy to remember web address.

P.S. Seen you guys going through enfield on the way to the show last week, looked fantastic.:D

edit: is it really necessary to get further digs in at other forum members?

Sad to see people who obviously have no interest in the subject matter coming onto these threads and talking crap (Roundy). But its still great to see the amount of interest any american auto thread generates. Great job on the site, and a great easy to remember web address.
