Aphex Twin rumours?

Anyone know any more about these Aphex Twin rumours that are doing the rounds? Heard that he may be playing Galway in Ocotber.

It could be just a Thumped fabrication though.

I saw him live at Reading 2002 but it was pretty all over the place. I think for the majority of it he played realy fast random Bucheplous bouncing ball esque beats and then out of nowhere after about 40 minutes Windowlicker... it was pretty funny to watch because I think a lot of people were there to hear Come to Daddy.

Generally he will kind of play against the crowds expectations so I dont think Ill make the journey.

Heard it from a few friends and then got pointed towards the online edition of the Galway Advertiser which had it. There's no date given though - I haven't called the GPO about it but, like everyone else, I'm skeptical.

Why bother announcing the gig and not giving a date? May not even be confirmed yet. I am not holding my breath, although I would go down to it.

Surely he'd play the Black Box in Galway rather than the GPO?
