Would you want to stay?

If you were in the Losties situation, would you want to stay on the Island? Assuming that you could learn to co-exist with the others, would you really want to leave?

The pros as I see it are:
    • You don't have to work
    • You don't have to get up early in the morning
    • You have no responsibilities
    • Money is not an issue
    • You live on a gorgeous Island, right on the beach
    • All the food you need is available around you, and you'd have a very healthy diet
    • You have company, but also the space to get away for a while

    The downsides are:
    • You never get to see your family or friends again
    • You have very little in the form of entertainment
    • You're completely excluded from the real world
    • If food gets scarce, you've got problems
    • There are "Others" who may or may not want to hurt you

I'm sure there's loads more for both sides that I can't think of right now. But would you want to stay if you were on the Island? I'm sure the initial response would be no, but think about it a bit.

I think it seems like a nice life, to be honest! I'd miss my mum tremendously, but other than that, there's not much I'd miss that much.

Yeah I'd stay too. I mean the getting kidnapped and having to run from the big smoke monster every few days would be a bitch but I'm sure I'd get used to it :D.

id be acclimitised by now and curious, i would not leave till someone told me what the hell was going on.

Although their are a lot more cons: Killer Polar Bears, Pregnant women die (would also restrict your chaces of getting lucky), Booby traps everywere etc..

Ooo I don't think I could hack it... sand would get everywhere!! Plus the black smoke would definately kill me .

Though I spose if the hatch had not been blown up I could have lived happily there... shower, beds, food etc.

No way would you stay. Come on people, what about the things you'd miss? Beer, good food, Christmas, football, Paddy's Day, proper medical facilities, toilet roll etc.

Plus the minute you get a toothache you'll want off the island. I doubt the island's supposed healing properties cover poor brushing! :)

I'm pretty sure you'd start cracking up in no time.

If the losties weren't fighting for their lives, what would they be doing? Off the top of my head, their entertainment includes:
    • A beach (which aren't hard to come by in the real world)
    • Table-tennis
    • The golf course that Hurley built in S1

Might be a few things I'm forgetting, but there's not much to keep people busy. Also, you have to take into account that you'd never see friends or family again, but you wouldn't have a clue what's happening in the real world.

So no, I'd come back :)

Why would you need anything? Not having to work again, answer to anyone, and live quite comfortably. A beautiful beach, savage women, regular supply of beer from the skies. Why, oh why would you want to leave?
