    Haven't seen the RDS at all - presumably they strung a few yards of cable from Donybrook to Ballsbridge.

    No sign of 'Plastic Sheeting' from Cork City centre either.

    Is it not unusual to be using 4:2:0 for broadcasting? I suppose picture quality isn't that important for that kind of stuff though, and they had a good few links going at the same time.

    Can most DVB-S capture cards handle 4:2:2 or is the decoding all done in software anyway? I take it most cheapo FTA boxes (like the Lidl ones) can't?

    Only box I know of that does 4:2:2 is the old QualiTV MPEG2 HDTV box. Software-defined sat cards all can, dunno if hardware ones do.
