They're nice guitars. The main differences would be the quality of the wood, the workmanship and the hardware.

Those Korean Fenders arent the best, there's better guitars out there for the money. You won't get that bridge to intonate properly either.

You won't get this bridge to intonate properly either but rock and roll seemed to do ok anyway, nobody seemed to mind that much. :p

The Lite Ash are decent guitars, they're not the best by any means but they sound like a Tele should and are easy on the eye. If you're going to get it from Thomann, just make sure you inspect it thoroughly after you get it to make sure everythig is as it should be.

i bought one a while back of a bloke off adverts and i'm really pleased with it.

i knew sometimes they can be dodgy but this one is grand.

the bridge is a bit of a pain in the arse sometimes but its not a huge deal.

The last time I checked, both telepaul and voodoo_child were on their last warning.

TelePaul - I'm going to do an IP address check now. Prey that yours isn't the same as Bratach Bán's. Again.

Edit: They're both the same. Once, I can understand. Twice, and trolling, no thanks, Bratach Bán agus TelePaul banned permanently

OK, let's start again. Your budget is €700.

What sound are you looking for? Nice cleans but what sort of distortion?
Do you want a trem or fixed bridge?
Do you mind getting a second hand guitar?

With reguards to the PRS models, I'd be wary of their stoptail bridges:

    stoptail.jpg

The intonation is fixed, and there's no adjustable saddles.

I'd steer more towards their tremolo models, as they have adjustable saddles.

The bridge you posted is adjustable Karl.

You can see that kind of bridge better in this pic:

    prs06singlecut-se-sb2.jpg

It's fixed intonation, and there is no option to adjust, unless you replace the bridge with something that has adjustable saddles.

You can clearly see the difference between that one, and an adjustable PRS stoptail:

See the little hole behind the stud? That's used to adjust intonation.

I'll stay away from talk of intonation :D , but anyway, in relation to the OPs question,

e700 will definitely buy you a great guitar, new or secondhand. Narrow your preferences down a little and im sure you'll get some good suggestions.

Yes, but not to the same degree as a bridge with individual saddles. What happens if for example your G is flat, yet the other strings are intonating perfectly? PRS themselves offer an aftermarket stoptail bridge (Like so) because of the criticism the regular bridge recieved.

Anyway, I won't go on about it further, I think it's just something I thought should demand consideration, as I have heard of people complaining about those particular bridges.

ok wel the maqin type of drive sound im looking for is rory gallagher/led zeppelin/acdc with good sustain for holding notes and enough drive for good pinched harmonics, secondly i want action good enough you can bend a lot(im a blues player mostly) without having to tune every time you bend a note and good action. i would prefer second guitars as i think ill get a better guitar second hand guitar for the money. as regards clean sound im not big into really toney clean sounds i like warm sounds on clean tone for nice warm licks and strumming. i like funk and i know that as much tone that is i think when u strum on clean channel and its too toney it sounds ****.

anyone preference a guitar with that info!!!!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say some form of strat?

Thats funny i was going to recommed a highway1 strat. i have 7 guitars and it is by far the most versitile. I play it more than any of the others.

It fits your descriptions and you can put almost any pickup in there with a bit of fiddling. I think they come routed for humbuckers too.

Let us know what you settle on.

Have you considered a hollow body gibsony type thing? Kinda bluesy and nice clean too.
