I went to an interview for a job this morning and in my opinion anyway It went really well
They called up two hours later and said they were really impressed and that would I come to the site for a medical first thing in the morning and also afterwards to meet the director
I'm so nervous as what to expect in the medical
I don't touch drugs or anything but I'm still afraid
Also I'm taking this as a semi good sign yes?

Well if you don't touch drugs, what have you to be afraid of in the medical? And yes I'd take it as a good sign.

    Nothing to worry about whatsoever.

Don't worry about the medical, it's not a big deal. Just make sure you can pee in a bowl :D

    Sounds very positive.

I can't see them asking you to do a medical if they're not planning to offer you the job. The medical is usually the last formality that has to be done before you get the formal offer. Once you don't test positive for drugs and are in reasonable health you'll be fine.

Chances are it'll just be a urine sample, blood pressure check, possibly an eye test and they'll ask you some questions. Nothing to worry about at all.

Best of luck and a pre-emptive congrats :)

Don't be. I had to do a medical for every permanent job I ever had. It's standard procedure.

Take is as a sign that you've got the job.

I have heard of people not getting the job even at this stage. The director wants to meet you for a reason after all. Having said that it is a good sign.

Medical went fine, they said i'm in perfect health
Meeting with director was a bit daunting but I survived it anyway
The woman from HR said she will call me on monday with the results of my medical and to let me know
I'm really really excited but I'm not jumping the gun though :)
