Archos won't connect!

My Archos AV700 won't connect to my PC! Windows says it doesn't recognise the USB device. Sometimes, if I keep unplugging-plugging it in it will recognise it after a while. All other USB device work without any problems. Any ideas? Is it possible it could be a faulty cable and not the actual device. Help would be appreciated. :)

Try a different USB port if you already haven't...Archos can be a bit picky sometimes.

I have. And have tried it on my laptop too, nothing doing there.

It does point towards a dodgy cable I would think. I have a 404...not sure if they use the same cable but if they do you are welcome to try it.
Peats sell the Archos range...if you talk to them nice they may have a cable you could try also.

I got a new USB A/Mini-B cable and it works. Such a relief thought for a moment the device might be on the brink.
