Trying to Get Hooked Up to NTL

    Have been onto NTL for over a month trying to get tv and broadband.

    They keep saying that my aparment isnt on their list even thought they have installed a box.

    Is there any one I can contact other than their sales dept to sort this out?

    When I bought my apartment I discovered that NTL couldn't locate the details either.

    I gave them a couple of variants on the address e.g. the one on the lease, the one eircom had, and the one the ESB used. All were slightly different. They found me, eventually.

    Tried that last night when I noticed the esb bill was different fromt the address I was told. Might ring again and give them a few different places or ask them what they have on record in the area and use that

    Ever so slightly OT...

    Without giving too much away, I live in a complex that's on NTL's account as 44 Joe's House, Dublin 1. (nos 1-50 are Joe's House) In the same complex there's Mary's House (51-99).

    NTL decide to make things easier at work for themselves and proceed to rename all Joe's House as Mary's House. Thus, I was now living in 44 Mary's House (I wasn't told).

    When I had a cable fault I rang them, gave them my account number, and when they asked me to confirm my address you can imagine the hilarity that ensued...

    you wouldnt think they would make it as hard as pssible for you to give them your money
