A friend of mine is moving over from Poland for the summer to work. She has entrusted me with a copy of her CV and delegated the task of finding her a job.
How should I go about this? I mean should I just walk into places, hand in the CV and explain the situation, or is there some agency that I should contact?

Any advice will be apreciated, thanks

what kind of marketable skills does she have? Is she a graduate? What kind of experience does she have or what work is she looking for? YOu could post her cv to a couple of agencies and they can contact her directly. ditto bars/restaurants.

    She's a student.
At the moment she's working in a H&M in Warsaw. Maybe clothes shops would be a good place to start?

Also you could upload her CV onto to some of the many jobsearch websites, i.e.

    www.jobs.ie
    www.nixers.ie
    www.monster.ie

www.nixers.ie & www.jobs.ie are good websites to upload her CV, I previously worked in the retail trade and we regularly sourced our staff from these sites.

Hope this is of some assistance to you.

If she;s going to dublin perhaps H&M could organise something for her in H&M in Dublin. If she has retail experience she'll get a retail job no problem.

It seems that H&M is operated on a franchise basis in Poland so I doubt that would work. Although I suppose it may be worthwhile dropping in the CVs to some stores in Dublin.

    Thanks again
