How to get to hawaii..

I am planning on going over to hawaii for a week or two in august. How exactly do I go about pricing/booking flights on the net..There's obviously not going to be any direct flights over so I would have to make stops.. Is there any websites that will quote me from shannon/cork/dublin to hawaii including the stops? And does anybody have any rough estimations on what it might end up costing me??

Two main options - Dublin->Newark->Hawaii with Continental or Dublin->LA-Hawaii with Aer Lingus and some other airline.

I have been quoted $1,500 (€1,100) with delta.. would that be good or bad from past experiences??

I wouldn't class that as being over the top considering the distance involved. I don't think you would find it all that much cheaper
