    Hi
I am getting a new set of irons, i have deceided on the callaway x 20's, i have seen these on ebay for around €300, this seems to good to be true, they are at least €550 in golf shops. Has anybody here bought clubs on ebay that were fake or has anybody bought clubs on ebay and they are very happy with them. I would be grateful for any feedback

    Thanks

I got a set of x-18's from ebay was was delighted - think they were around 500 dollars (from the states). If they are from china/hong kong/taiwan i would avoid.

Just be careful, and buy only from a source that has a very high feedback rating, from satisfied customers. Alot of Pro shops across the uk sell via ebay, so something like that where the product is guaranteed is normally a safe bet. Buying off first time sellers or those from the regions mentioned above would not be advisable.

Depends where they are shipping from.. Same as SteadyEddie, I too bought clubs on ebay from the US, saved about 50% even after I was hit with vat and duty. Always make sure they have good feedback for a similar item!

I emailed a seller about similar deal, callaway X18 advertised for about £200. his response,

Hello mate, many thanks for your email, before you hit the buy it now, i just wanted you to know they re clones, but very good one,
the no,8 even has serial number on it, the reason why its called clones not copies coz they feel more like the genuine one, and the sound as well, anyway your call

    I didnt buy

Thanks very much for the feed back, i dont think i will go ahead with these clubs as i think they may be clones. I might just pay up for them in a shop, at least you know they are the real mccoy.
