In order to keep members up to date with what is going on in the IAA it has been decided that we will start to send out a monthly newsletter. In a bid to get issue 1 out as soon as possible I have created an email address iaanewsletter@hotmail.com (it took ages to think of that) which can be used by everyone to submit articles or ideas they think should be included. Also if anyone has any skills that they feel the newsletter would benefit from please feel free to contact us at that address

will do, finishing exams at the moment, but ill give a go at writing something up after that.

Excellent thanks for that and good luck with the exams. Incidentally here is a good study tip, try writing answers on BBs and then having your friends shoot them at you.......................What? it might work.

Just a note to everyone else, if you don't submit any articles you run the risk of having me fill the newsletter with page upon page of my innane ramblings believe me you don not want that to happen :D

Perhaps an interview with one of the players? Could make a regular item with a different player each month. Kindof a 'getting to know person x' article.

    Some possible questions....

How did you get involved in airsoft?
What does airsoft mean to you?
What makes a good skirmish game?
What advice would you have for new players.
In a skirmish. if you could only see another players fingers, neck or other sensitive area, would you take the shot or wait until you could hit their torso?
How do you see irish airsoft 5 years from now?
What's you favourite Airsoft gun and why?
    etc

sounds like an idea, and you just volunteered yourself for the first interview :D

Gentlemen, I come offering the gifts of photography, web development, photoediting, journalism and pr.

You do how ever have to put up with an "ideas" person. I like ideas, some people think they're dangerous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,121 ✭✭✭N.O.I.P.

Ideas, well we won't be having any of those here thank you very much Oisin ban him at once :D

I was actually meant to send you a PM on this but now I don't have to aint life grand. I believe DaveMcG is working on the IAA update part so perhaps you would be able to do up some templates for the design of the newsletter? and I still expect to see people sending in articles, come on people the email address is listed above :D

I was thinking of a html based newsletter that would be emailed to people, something akin to ebay emails

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,121 ✭✭✭N.O.I.P.

Perhaps for the moment but it would be nice if the newsletter had its own distinct visual theme. Do you want to contact Dave to see about working on it together?

A certain rabbit almost died twice today at HRTA. He had a close encounter with a disintergrating tree trunk that he happened to be standing on. And there was the near-drowning as he fell backwards while climbing through that gap at the start of the laneway.
