Well guys and gals, the time is near. The Juniour Cert is upon us. A lot of people that I've asked feel really confident, but I know people that can't sleep at night. I think that there are different kinds of students. Those who work hard and do well, those who work even harder and don't do so good, and those who do nothing at all and still manage to pop out an A.

I feel that even though there are so many who are confident, some others could use a little encouragement. A little word of advice to those who can't get to sleep at night. Don't worry. The Juniour Cert is an important exam in some ways, but in the case of the rest of your life, the JC has the same effect as a spelling test. So stop your worrying, your better off without it. If you worry you get depressed, then you stop studying, and thats when you should be nervous. Just study an hour or two everynight until the exam. If your short for time, there are lists of topics that are essential in revising to pass the test in most subjects available at www.skoool.ie

I'd just like to wish everyone good luck. And remember, when your in taking the exam in the heat and your tired and bothered, think about the summer time your about to get off. The last obstacle you have to get through for the year are these exams, which aren't that important.

Good Luck everyone! I'm off to do some English homework

yikes I think I'm really screwed for the JC :(
everytime I try and study it doesn't get into my brain and I feel really stupid then and feel there's no point studying...
I'm trying though so hopefully I'll get something out of it..
I think I'm ok for: English, Geography, French, Maths, and CSPE. And maybe Irish cos I'm getting grinds... think for Business, History, and Science i may just really have to knuckle down and i think my Art drawing went a bit screwy but I'm happy with my project!
haha reading back on that i sound like such a moan... Well good luck to everyone else doing the JC! hopefully you're not as paranoid like me :D

''those who work even harder and don't do so good, and those who do nothing at all and still manage to pop out an A.''

The first does not exist for most subjects except for maths and perhaps Irish and the second is just people who say they do nothing but in reality have worked hard.

Well, i can honestly say i have not been working hard at all, apart from an hour of study today and the odd half hour over the last few weeks i've done nothing. We shall see when the results come out but i think i'm going to do pretty well(doesn't count for much, i know;) ). Even my mum who has never asked me to study before is constantly asking me to study now:rolleyes:
