Thats a great vid Jon. He was tremendous, I remember a mate of mine having a video of him fighting in Japan when we were about 12 and we must have watched it 60 times until it was worn. Next time I saw him was in the movie Grosse Point Blank about 10 years later! Funny comment about the "purists" alright, cos to me thats as pure as it gets stand up wise.

Here he is in the film "Wheels on Meals" fighting Jackie Chan:

This is considered by a lot of people to be the greatest fight in a martial arts movie of all time. (skip forward to 1.00, Benny is the guy in the white suit)

The purists comments were a lead in to the next part of the show which covers the dawn of UFC.Bearing in mind that MMA was very different in those days.:)

Benny the jet was a legend when i was a kid
Obviously not the best looking guy in the world hence the crappy parts he was offered in movies...if he had done the same type of movies and tv series as chuck norris imagine how big he would have been....but then again he wouldn't have been fighting anymore ;(

    His back kick is legendary
Jackie chan after working with him, concentrated on that kick and it shows in movies like rumble in the bronx
Would love to have seen the jet compete in the ufc...sadly two different times....
