Sky+ - All recordings gone !!

    Woke up this morning to fin that pause & rewind didn't work on my Sky box - its one of the older 40Gb Pace boxes that I had put in around 2004 ?.

    Even worse - when I went into the planner - it sais that there was nothing there - zip, nada....

    Tried a rebuild & same result - spoke to Sky & they said it was an intermittent fault they get some times & told me to do a master reset. This cured the problem & the box is now working normally - but to lose all of my recorded stuff is a real pain......is this a sign that the box is on its last legs or is it liekly to be the hard disk ??

    I doubt if it's the HDD, as it just wouldn't take a notion of formatting itself. I'd say it was software issue, an "intermittent fault" as Sky put it.

    Nuisance all the same.
