Well actually Salou would be a cheap right job for the Sun part, it's also 1 hour-ish train from Barcelona, which in turn has train links to other places. Also Salou is near Andorra.

...I thought it was funny, made me chuckle! :o Further to your search for your honeymoon destination, what about New York? There's still lots of relaxing you can do, you can go to Martha's Vineyard, take a train to Connecticut and then a Ferry to Rhode Island or a beautiful tiny Island just beneath it called Block Isand. My friend got married there, it's very quaint, very New England, and very sunny, Idyllic, you can hire bikes and cycle around it, go buy fresh lobster in the harbour and sit out on the upstairs balcony of a rented house and drink beer till the wee hours, heaven. Or if USA is not your bag Scandinavia is beee ootiful. You can go sailing from Sweden through the fiords all the way to Helsinki, it's so gorgeous there from around June - Sept, they have really good Summers. Some suggestions for you but I don't think you mentioned when?

In the same vein does anyone know of somewhere a person can go away to alone, not be fleeced for being single with room supplements, not be harrassed by drunken yobs but still have the choice to sit in the bar and talk to people who are friendly? Somewhere you can swim, the hotel is nice, and it's relatively reasonable in price? Somewhere with a bit of class and culture and history to it where you can go to quiet places as well as restaurants and bars? I noted a thread a lot of you did last year regarding single holidays for single people but it looks like it just faded out. I'm not looking to team up as I haven't much of an issue with heading off on my own, I did South of Spain two years ago but I found without much Spanish I was a bit fooked when it came to ordering food and stuff  they are so laid back down there they didn't give a monkeys if I got fed (who would blame?!)....any idears people? Anyone know what Island hopping in Greece is like? I've always fancied it but could also do with a good rest so don't know if I'll bother with it this time.

Thankoo to any replies and sorry for bungin in on your thread!
