didnt knw where to post this, but here ges im overe here in boston and i picked up some furniture off the street, it was a desk, but it was on the stret dismantled, theres was dried on mud n it wheni pickd it up,which is still nit, looks like it spent some time outdoors, just wasting away, could wrong but there is definitely earth on it, anyway i have tken some pics, i saw an insect on it, that looked kinda like an earwig,,but this insect could fly. ihave taken pics of the wood, just in case someone would recognize the type of wood inquestion, just so i will know whether this type of wood is vulnerable to woodlice attack

Looks like plywood, which isn't usually of interest to insects, though if it had been on the street for long the ply would have started to separate. You really need some local advice - I think americans call woodlice pillbugs - they are no real threat, (they eat rotten wood) but I doubt thats what it was. Could it have been a termite? Is there any damage to the wood? If not you are probably ok, but see if someone local can offer any advice.

yup that'd be Plywood, eriouslylike whatever you saw when you picked it up has probably got nothingto do with the desk, Plywood is treated and uses glues etc, it would be highly unlikely that anything would be eating it
