Demo @ Fine Gael HQ, re Tara/M3, Wed 23 May@11am

On Wednesday, 23 May at 11am, TaraWatch will stage a demonstration outside Fine Gael party headquarters at 51 Upper Mount Street, Dublin 2, in response to Enda Kenny's failure to state his party's position with regard to the M3 motorway.

To date, the Greens, Sinn Fein and Labour have issued statements in support of a reroute of the M3 motorway out of the Tara-Skryne Valley. With polling day imminent, TaraWatch believes that the electorate has the right to know where Fine Gael stands on this issue.

"Enda Kenny needs to step up to the plate and show some creative
problem-solving and leadership ability here, particularly in light of
the fact that 70 per cent of people surveyed nationally want the M3
re-routed." , stated activist Vincent Salafia, speaking at a TCD conference this week.

At this Wednesday's demonstration, TaraWatch shall invite Fine Gael to state their position on the matter, so that the public be fully informed when casting their vote on Thursday.

All are welcome to attend, bring banners, friends and enthusiasm!

    Good Luck Folks.

In the Meath By-Election Shane McEntee (muted a rethink on the M3 route / Tara situation), yet when elected did not say another word on the subject, just went with the flow. They (FG) come out with all things populist at election time and when in opposition, but seem to be the wishy-washy party.

His current stance appears to be just like FF.

We have a duty as Irish men & women to protect our heritage, and Tara especially so. Unfortunately the philistines that pervade the corridors of power in Celtic Tiger Ireland, have a screwed up value system and don't know any better.

Should this not have been organised for yesterday so that it would have got some media coverage????

Well we could just all vote for a different party..... Any of the parties which promote a change in direction. It gives a better result as it teaches the bigger parties to take note of these issues.

How can the public be fully informed, even if Fine Gael do state their position, when there is a media blackout? Isn't this a bit thick or has TaraWatch been infiltrated by mischief making FF/PDers out to cause the last bit of grief to FG and waste TW genuine supporters time and energy in pointless nonsense. Why wasn't this done earlier in the campaign when it might have been some use?
