Advice needed table setup

I think this is my first post in the poker forum, I love reading the stuff you guys post!

Where I work we have recently opened a new casino/arcade. We have this really neat 8 seater hold-em table. I won't divulge where this place is because that would be free advertising which I have just emailed boards.ie about.

The hold-em table is automated, 37" LCD in the center of the table surrounded by 8 small touchscreen terminals. Hands are dealt face down to each users terminal, you then cover the screen or cards(like real poker) and touch your cards. The corners then peel up revealing your cards.

We have the control to setup any sort of cash game or tournament game. Due to an obvious need to profit from the table, at the moment, cash games are the way to go. The way we have it setup at the moment is €1/€2 NL 5% rake up to a max of €20.

What do people think of this setup or what other setups would people recommend?

    Thanks for any advice!

Sounds interesting, I'd sit down and play a few hands for novelty, but I personally prefer playing with actual cards

Also, 5% rake is waay above the rake in the other casino's around dublin? You might get inexperienced poker players playing at it, but I don't think you'd establish any regular players with that setup

I'd say 1/2 PLH or NLH is your best bet as thats most common game around. What make is the table?

It's a Pokermate from a company called Gametronix in Canada.

    Thanks for the info.

Cool. Let us know where it is when the mods get back to you. I'm sure they won't mind for this sort of thing.

They are proving pretty popular over in the states from what i've heard but 5% seems a little high. Be good to just be able to pop if for a few hands or whatever. Are there normally many people sitting at them? I would imagine a few of the slot machine places will get one of these. I guess they have to charge 5% to justify taking up the space as those slot machines are decent money makers.

Maybe set it up to run Single Table tournaments, 20 or 50 euro ones.
You can probably get away with mentioning the location of this new casino in this thread. The pimping that goes on in the Tournaments forum is alot worse :)

Ok ok, it's called D1-Club and it's on dorset street opposite the red parrott pub, beside the canal.

Hopefully I can convince the sales guys in here to do a banner ad, I think it would be a good way to advertise.
